2022 was another hugely successful year for the GTS UK family and 2023 looks set to follow suit.

From key appointments who have boosted our team to incredible recognition for our hard work supplying the nation, the last 12 months have been some of our proudest since we launched eight years ago.

Financial growth

Revenue is vital for any business and our latest figures show we are making tremendous progress. Our revenue was up by 68 per cent year-on-year, as we continued to onboard new customers eager to benefit from our personalised services in Intermodal, Customs, Supply Chain Management and Trucking.

There are now more than 160 companies, including the likes of Aldi, Biscuit International and Crosta & Mollica, who trust GTS UK to deliver their products into the UK marketplace with minimal fuss and we are delighted to be their trusted partners.

Key appointments

2022 has also seen our most important asset – our incredible team – continue to expand. We have made key appointments across the business including:

  • Lewis Duckworth as our new General Manager

  • Gabrielle Briggs and Bethany Thompson as customs brokers

Relieving the strain on the planet

Our green transport solutions also stand us out from the crowd. Reviewing 2022 as a whole, our intermodal transport solutions (compared to solely road transportation) saved 10,000kg of CO2 from being pumped into the atmosphere – that’s the equivalent of having to plant an extra 500 trees!

A seamless transition

The impact of these new additions has been felt across the team, including in supporting the adoption of HMRC’s new Customs Declarations Service (CDS). And our recruitment isn’t stopping there… we can’t wait to welcome even more new faces into our ever-growing business in 2023.

Going for gold

And finally, recognition isn’t something we have always chased but in 2022 we decided we wanted the world to know what we already do - just how great our team is.

Awards are a great way to celebrate our achievements and remind us that we are on the right track so being named as a finalist in Hull Live Business Awards’ ‘Business of the Year’ category was a real honour. It was great to celebrate alongside so many other great businesses also representing Hull and the East Riding on the national and international stage.

Like them, we can’t wait to see what the next 12 months has in store for GTS UK, our customers and our partners.
